Day 1 without Izuku 

Izuku left less than 24 hours ago and he already felt miserable. He tried calling him and texting him and he didn’t reply. He tried texting Bakugou but he said:

Why didn’t he understand! Why didn’t he understand that being a hero came first, that it always did and it always will!

No, if he was going to be a hero it would be for the best if Izuku isn’t in his life. If he is going to be a hero all he is going to do is make him sad. This is for the best. 

Less than an hour after that thought he was scouring the house for even an ounce of alcohol. Of course he found nothing and he was disgusted in himself for looking. He needed him, he needed his love. 

No all he’s good is for hurting him. 

Izuku is better off without him. 

Day 4 without Izuku 

He heard a knock on the door. His heart lifted for just a second thinking it could be Izuku. He threw open the door to see Tamaki and Nejire with some take out and sad smiles. “Hey friend,” Tamaki said softly. 

“Can we come in?” Nejire asked nicely. 

He nodded, not having any energy to reply. He could talk to them about this, they are heroes. They’ll understand. 

Once they all sat down and dispersed the food accordingly, Nejire said in a cautious voice, “So what did you fight about?” 

“I can get signed off to be a hero again.” 

They both gasped and Nejire clapped her hands. “So why was he mad?”

“Well… I only got approved because I recognized the risk.” 

“We’re heroes there will always be a risk.” 

“Well the doctor says if I get punched wrong I could end up with dementia in a few years.” 

Tamaki choked on his soda coughing and sputtering before saying, “what!? A few years!?”

“Around that..”

“And Midoriya wasn’t ok with you doing it?”

“Yes.”

“And that’s all?” Tamaki said, narrowing his eyes. 

“I might have said something along the lines of ‘If I’m not a hero I’m nothing.’”

They both stopped eating and sighed. “Of course he’s hurt Mirio, you basically told him all this time you spent together when you weren’t being a hero meant nothing to you!” 

Mirio’s stomach lurched. “Oh god that’s probably what he’s thinking right now. 

“So are you going to apologize?”

“But he’s making me choose between him and being a hero!” 

Neijire and Tamaki looked at each other and sighed. “You need to think this over some more. We brought a movie do you want to watch it?”

“Yeah.” Mirio sighed and settled into the couch with Nejire and Tamaki on either side as they put on a classic they all loved. But his mind was anywhere but the movie. It wasn’t right for him to make him choose right? He’s allowed to be upset too right? But does he really think the time they spent together meant nothing to him? He’s probably crying right now just thinking about him. 

No. 

All Might himself gave me this power, I’m not going to let him down. 

I’m going to be a hero.

Day 6 without Izuku 

Living without Izuku is getting a little easier. He has an appointment tomorrow to get the papers signed to be a hero again, even if just parole. Now that he’s decided to be a hero, he thought maybe he could clean up Izuku’s stuff and bring it to Bakuou’s house. But looking at all of his things lovingly placed around his house… he couldn’t bring himself to touch them let alone throw them away. 

Maybe he could just move them all into the closet while he’s thinking. 

No he’s already made up his mind! He needs to give his stuff to Bakugou so he can move on. He grabbed a box and began in the kitchen. He loaded up all of the kitchen supplies Izuku used. He didn’t care that most of them belonged to him in the first place, they were Izuku’s. As he touched each pan and each measuring cup he felt a pain in his chest slowly increase. Memories of the last seven months played back to him. 

“What are you making?”

“Strawberry shortcake.” Izuku splotched some whipped cream on Mirio’s cheek and chuckled. “I have some extra whipped cream… if you’re interested.”

“What are you making?”

“It’s a surprise! I wanted to celebrate our 5-month with something special!”

“Oh?”

“I’ve never actually tried it before so I wonder if you’ll like it.”

Mirio dipped Izuku and nuzzled into his neck, Izuku giggling all the while. “If you are baking it, then I know it’ll be good.” 

“What’s wrong? Why are you crying?”

Izuku sobbed into his hands. “Even when he was hurting me, he- he still let me bake. Every time we run out of flour I just panic, I don’t know why, I just do.”

Mirio got out the shopping list. “Five packs of flour.” 

“Baby that’s too expensive!” 

Mirio looked him dead in the eye and chuckled. “Ten packs of flour.” 

Izuku ran into his arms and kissed his chin, “where would I be without you?” 

Mirio dropped the box onto the ground. Giving up Izuku for at most 10 years of heroism just to be a clueless confused man for the rest of his life. Is that what he really wants? To be lost and alone the rest of his life? 

He put Izuku’s stuff back together and sat on the bed. He lay in Izuku’s spot and took a big whiff of the sheets that still smelled like his beloved. 

This answer was easy. 

He got on his phone and dialed a number. 

“We need to talk.” 

Day 1 without Mirio 

Cammie has declared herself the official safety blanket for Izuku. He lays on the couch and she lays on top of him giving him a heavy hug for a few hours a day. Kacchan is pissed as a motherfucked constantly saying, “I trusted that bastard to take care of him,” or “this is the last time I let someone close to Deku.” 

Izuku called off work for the week saying that he needed some mental health time. They were more than understanding, saying that Izuku had given them so many new recipes he was due for some time off. 

Katsuki forced him to exercise and eat and shower and was a lot nicer to him than usual. 

But that didn’t change the fact that his heart was broken. Really truly broken. He thought he found the one, and to make it worse he doesn’t blame him for wanting to have more time as a hero. That is what he wanted to be since he was a kid, he became one, lost his ability, regained as well as got the ability of freaking ALL MIGHT and Izuku wants him to give it up? For selfish reasons too, just because he wanted to spend more time together. 

How horrible of him. 

I am the worst.

Day 7 without Mirio 

Kacchan left in a rush yesterday and ever since he came back he’s been acting strange. He won’t say where he went or who he met. He won’t even say why he left. It makes him think it was him planning to get his things from Mirio, it has been days since he tried to call him. He wanted to give him time to think but this whole knowing not knowing this is miserable. 

He heard a knock on the door. His heartbeat picked up just a little faster. He looked over and Kacchan and Camie both nodded, Camie pulling her phone out. What?

He opened the door and saw Mirio there holding flowers as he did on the first day they got together. White roses, just like before. No little stuffed bear but that’s ok. Was he apologizing? Saying goodbye?

“Miro.” Izuku held the door open with his foot and he looked at him with longing eyes, 

“Izuku, I’m an idiot.” He handed him the flowers which Izuku took and then pulled papers out of his back pocket. “These are the papers I need to sign to become a hero again.” 

“Oh…” 

Mirio ripped them into pieces and dropped it on the ground. “I am still Lemellion!” 

Izuku burst into tears and leaped into his arms. “Mirio this is your dream!” 

“You are my new dream, and what is a life alone, lost and confused, not even remembering being a  hero? I gave one for all to Bakugou. It’s official, I’m all yours.”

Izuku sobbed openly into his chest. “I love you, I missed you so much.” 

“I missed you too baby,” he said, picking him up and spinning him around before setting him down. Izuku quirked his head to the side but gasped as he got on one knee. 

“Izuku, will you-”

“Yes!!” Izuku sobbed into his chest while Mirio slipped on the copper ring. They kissed while Camie cheered and Katsuki shook his head and clapped.

A bush 

A plain

A path connected them all. It was a stoney path, every rock was a different size. There were four rows of benches all full of friends and family. Izuku wore a white suit with a green tie. His mother held his arm and walked him down the aisle. Waiting at the end was a dashing young man with a white suit and a red tie. 

It feels like I’ve known you my whole life.

“I feel that way too,” Izuku said holding his hands as they looked at each other. 

Neijire stood at the altar holding her book with her lines in them with a big smile on her face. “We have here today, two soulmates. They both met, broken. But found each other and became whole. We have times in our lives where we doubt everything. Where we feel like we can’t trust anyone. I these times, we have each other.” 

Izuku felt a thumb brush his fingers and he blushed, fighting a giggle. He brushed his fingers back and Mirio smiled back. 

“Come on guys, let me at least get through the ceremony.” 

The crowd laughed and Izuku blushed further. 

“These people have fought and won and from this day forward will love and always love each other and keep each other safe and warm. Do you, Izuku Midoriya, take Mirio Togata to be your wedded husband? In times of health and in times of crisis? In times of warmth and in times of darkness?”

“I do,” Izuku said fidgeting from all the eyes staring.

“And do you, Mirio Togata, take Izuku Midoriya, to be your wedded husband? In times of health and in times of crisis? In times of warmth and in times of darkness?”

“I do.” 

“Then you may kiss your husband!”

Mirio wrapped his arm around Izuku’s waist and pulled him into a warm kiss. Izuku melted against his husband and rested his hands on his chest. 

They nuzzled their foreheads and Izuku cooed, “I love you Mirio.”

“I love you more.” 

“I love you most.’

“Ready to talk?” Izuku said carrying over a cup of tea. 

Mirio took a sip and nodded. He took a moment to look at the tea. It was green tea, very earthy. It had a stalk standing straight up, a sign of good luck, how ironic. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. “There’s something I need to tell you first, about All Might.” 

“Is it about his death?”

The pillar of strength died from his wounds of a previous battle that happened years past. His poor health was revealed after he left to save Kacchan. Izuku remembers being glued to the TV praying Kacchan would be ok only to see the pillar of strength was anything but. He was human like all of us, and because of him more heroes had a chance to rise as did villains. 

But why was Mirio going to talk about him?

“When he was all-powerful, he had a quirk that had been strengthened for generations.” 

“Oh like in his family?”

“No, like it was a separate quirk passed down from person to person.” 

“He could give away his… do you have his quirk?”

Mirio nodded. 

Izuku took a second to do some deep breathing. He needed to be calm right now. He couldn’t be upset, he didn’t tell him, he couldn’t be shocked that passing down a quirk is possible, he needed to be calm. “Ok continue.” 

“I have to be a hero, I have to use his power for good.” 

“But, but what about your injury? Weren’t you crying because they said no?”

“No he said he would sign off that I was fit for parole.” 

“Mirio I don’t understand.” 

Mirio set the tea to the side and grabbed Izuku’s hands. “I have to be a hero, it’s who I am.” 

“But what about your memory? What happens if you get hurt again?”

“He said if I get hurt again I could have dementia in a few years.” 

“A few years?!” Izuku gasped. “But is a few years of hero work worth your whole life?”

“Heroes lose their lives all the time Izuku! It’s a part of the job!” 

“You don’t see the original Ingenium doing any hero work!”

“That’s different!” 

“No it’s not! It’s not because at least Ingenium will recognize his family! His friends! At least Ingenium will remember being a hero and will remember his wife!” 

“If I’m not a hero I’m nothing!!” Mirio shouted without thinking. 

“Is that what I am to you then?” Izuku choked out. “Nothing?”

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to!”

Izuku set his tea to the side and wiped the tears from his eyes despite the fact they were overflowing. “I’m going to Kacchan’s.” He stood up and without a word went to the bedroom. Mirio sat on the couch and stared for a moment while what just happened sank in. He got up and followed Izuku to see him packing some clothes in his gym bag. He was dead silent and his eyes pouring tears but besides that he showed no sign of emotion. 

“Izu.” 

He grabbed his medicine and pushed Mirio out of the way. “Izuku!”


Izuku walked back to the front door and swung it open before turning around and opening his mouth to speak. But he didn’t. He just went straight out the door slamming it behind him. Leaving Mirio behind in a dark lonely house.

“You have a doctor visit today?” Izuku said sipping on some orange juice. He nudged his toe against Mirio’s with a smile. 

Mirio sipped his own and stroked Izuku’s leg with his tennis shoes. 

They don’t eat out a lot since they are both very healthy people, but every Monday they get brunch together, rain or shine. Living together in the last five months have been wonderful. Getting to know each other but still feeling like they’ve known each other their whole lives. Izuku has explained his past and shown his scars and Mirio loved him anyways. They’ve shared their lives, their insecurities, their everything, and both of them stayed. More than stayed, they’ve been thriving with each other. It was small at first. Izuku was less jumpy, Mirio’s head was more clear, and progressed to them opening their souls to each other. 

They were doing better than good. 

It was like they spent their whole lives waiting for each other. 

“Yeah it’s actually the second to last check-up to clear me for duty.” 

“Oh.” He cleared his throat. “I mean you’ve still been having some issues remembering stuff, do you think that’s going to be a problem?”

“They’ve gotten so much better, I could at least do recon until it’s completely healed.” 

“Yes, of course.” Izuku chewed on his lip. “I hope you get some good news, you really deserve it.” He smiled at his lover and Mirio smiled back. They brushed their feet against each others before continuing to eat breakfast. 

Mirio, your last MRI was troubling. It might have been your drinking in the early stages of recovery but we are one head trauma away from severe damage. I think recon is a possibility but we will have to see. 

Mirio smiled and finished his eggs. I’ll do recon for a while it’ll be fine. 

“I’m all done, want to take a walk?”

“Yes! Check please!” 

The two of them held hands and walked together through the shade. Izuku went on and on about a new recipe he wanted to try, but Mirio’s mind was elsewhere. What if he can’t be a hero anymore?

“It pains me to say this, but, unless you want to risk getting dementia by age 30 or potentially worse, you should steer clear of hero work for the rest of your career. 

“You can’t be serious, it was one injury!”

“One injury after severely overusing a dangerous quirk. If you are ready for the risks, I will sign off that you can return to parols only immediately. Your memory is getting better as we discussed and you clearly are in superb physical shape. But even something minor like a blow to the head from even a human fist could send you to a home before you’re 40. I understand how important being a hero is, so as I said, I will sign off that you are good for parols, but I want you to realize what is at stake here. I am giving you a week to think this over before I will sign your papers.”

Never be a hero again?

Mirio walked to the doctor with a soft nervousness. He could always go to a different doctor for a second opinion just in case, but he’s nervous anyways. He got to the waiting room and paced in the waiting room and when the nurse greeted him she had a fake smile. 

Come in, he’s waiting for you. 

Mirio gulped and then sat down on the table. His feet reached all the way to the floor. He had a thought of his tiny boyfriend who’s feet dangled at the doctors office. He smiled and rubbed his thumb and forefinger together pretending it’s his hair. He does that when his curls get too long. 

“Mirio, stop,” he giggled. 

“You need a haircut.” 

“Then I’ll get a haircut.” 

Mirio blew air at his curls, Izuku giggling again. “What are you doing?”

“Now you’re like a tree.” 

“You’re so funny.” 

“Ah, Mr.Togata, nice to see you,” the doctor said, interrupting his thoughts. 

“Thank you sir.” He stood up to give a short bow. 

“No need, you should sit down for this.” 

Mirio’s face grew grim. He nodded and sat down.

“It pains me to say this, but, unless you want to risk getting dementia by age 30 or potentially worse, you should steer clear of hero work for the rest of your career. 

“You can’t be serious, it was one injury!”

“One injury after severely overusing a dangerous quirk. If you are ready for the risks, I will sign off that you can return to parols only immediately. Your memory is getting better as we discussed and you clearly are in superb physical shape. But even something minor like a blow to the head from even a human fist could send you to a home before you’re 40. I understand how important being a hero is, so as I said, I will sign off that you are good for parols, but I want you to realize what is at stake here. I am giving you a week to think this over before I will sign your papers.”

“No Kacchan he just, I invited him inside and I was so sure he was going to say yes and he said ‘nope,’ and I don’t know what I did wrong…”

Katsuki rubbed his eyes and said, “did you invite him in or did you offer alcohol?”

“The latter, why?”

“Bae, you should have told him!” Camie said leaning over and revealing her semi-exposed breasts.

“Told me what?” Izuku said, looking away from her scantily clad pajama top. 

“Mirio used to be an alcoholic,” Katuski said in a sad voice. “That’s why he freaked out.”

“OHMYGOD I triggered him!!”

“I’m sure if you’s two’s talk it out, you’ll feel better little homie.” 

Izuku sighed. “I need to apologize… but I don’t know how…”

“‘I’m sorry,’ like that.”

“No it needs to be better than that.”

“How tho.”

As the idea popped into his head he gasped and said, “with baking.”

Mirio sat on the couch with his face buried in his hands. Why is he such an idiot? They were having such a great time! He could have stayed and explained or literally anything else. Ugh this is the worst. 

The soft tone of Tamaki’s voice echoed through the room from his speakerphone. “Just apologize I’m sure he’s not mad at you.” 

“But what if he thinks I hate him?”

“He doesn’t, you’re being too hard on yourself,” Nejire said in a calming voice. 

“I’m not, you should have seen the crushed look on his face. I really hurt his feelings.”

“Well he was going to invite you in, he obviously likes you,” Tamaki said gently. 

“Maybe not anymore.”

“Didn’t you say you dreamt about him?” Neijire asked. 

“Yeah that means he’s your soulmate!” 

Mirio sighed loudly. “Yeah but he looked so hurt.” 

“Then apologize!” Nejire exclaimed. 

“You’re right, but how?”

“Do it at your next class, wait, isn’t that in like 10 minutes?”

Mirio looked at his watch. “SHIT.”

Tamaki laughed and said, “talk to you later Mirio!” 

He put on his sweats and made a dash for the door. He ran to the gym, sprinted up the stairs, and leaped into the classroom to see the class waiting patiently. 

“Hello! Sorry, I’m late everyone!” 

The class made positive sounds of dismissal before getting ready at all of their punching bags. His eyes scoured the room, but no Izuku. Oh god he really did fuck up! He couldn’t focus on the class at all, his chest pounding at the thought of possibly losing Izuku. He must have really hurt him. Oh god this was the worst. 

How was he going to apologize enough?

The second he sent the last text he rushed to the grocery store. He gazed at all the flowers hectically. Is this what he wanted? Is this too date-like? They acknowledged that they’ve been in each other’s dreams and they’ve kissed so hopefully this isn’t too outlandish. 

“Need some help choosing flowers?” A woman asked in a curious tone. Her whole hair was vines, and she had a soft expression. This was a good place for her. She had a cross around her neck and a slender build. She was wearing the grocery store uniform but a floral skirt underneath. 

“Yes I do need help, do you have any flowers that say ‘I’m sorry?’”

“Ah, are you in the dog house?”

“No, no it’s just, I said something stupid.” 

“I would recommend this bundle.” She handed him a dozen white roses with a green bow and a small stuffed bear attached to the side. 

“Cute! It’s perfect!” 

“Glorious! I will ring you up right here.” 

She charged his card and he made his way to the apartment walking as fast as he could without knocking anyone over with his thick build. He finally saw their door and rushed up the stairs knocking three times holding the flowers behind his back. 

“Ok ok I’m getting it,” a voice said behind the door. Izuku opened the door and they locked eyes. Transfixed in nothing but each other once again. Izuku was in an apron covered in flour and he had flour on his cheek as well. His eyes were lit up in wonder, his hands by his heart. He smiled and said, barely above a whisper, “you’re here…”

“I’m sorry,” they both said bowing before bonking each other on the head. 


Izuku rubbed his forehead whining under his breath. “Oww.” 

“Are you ok?!” Mirio said, revealing the flowers behind his back to look at his head. 

“Yeah, I’m fine, are those for me?” Izuku said looking around at the flowers in Mirio’s hand.

“Yes, I’m sorry I left without any explanation. I need to talk to you about something.” 

“I made some macaroons and coffee cake if you want to sit down inside?”

Mirio nodded. He followed Izuku to the table. Izuku put the roses in a vase and then heated up some tea and poured it for them both. They both got a serving of the deserts he made and sat down.

“Why did you feel like baking?”

“I was my apology, I didn’t mean to upset you.”

“You have no reason to apologize,” Mirio grabbed his small hands with his massive ones. “I didn’t explain I just ran away.” 

Izuku played with Mirio’s fingers for a moment before saying, “do you want to explain now?”

Mirio cleared his throat. “I was an alcoholic. After I got told I couldn’t be a hero for a whole year I turned down a dark road.” Izuku squeezed his hand with silent reassurance. “It started with a rescue gone wrong. I had to use my quirk in a way I hadn’t before and that plus an injury caused a massive hemorrhage in the front part of my brain. I was lost and confused for a while, I saw you in my dreams almost every night. I-” 

Izuku smiled and pulsed his hand again. 

“I turned to drinking to cope. But in reality it only made the damage worse. I started getting confused, not speaking well, and acting like someone I wasn’t. Tamaki and Nejire got some sense into me and I quit cold turkey, but sometimes something like an innocent offer triggers me.”

“What can I do?”

“Hm?”

Izuku used his other hand to grab his arm and asked, “what can I do to help you?”

“Well these macaroons are pretty delicious.”

Izuku giggled and let go of his hand, using the other to pick up their dishes. “I’m being serious.” 

He put the plates and cups in the dishwasher and when he turned around Mirio was standing there with a soft smile. He towered over him in both height and build and wrapped his thick arms around his waist. Izuku placed his hands on his biceps and smiled. He got on his tiptoes and gave a quick kiss. “Would that help?”

“Hmmm,” Mirio tapped his chin with his knuckle. “Maybe another one?”

Izuku blushed and bit his lower lip before pressing a long kiss on his mouth. Mirio pulled him closer and slipped his tongue inside, the two of them pressing closer together while their mouths moved in a pleasant dance against each other. 

This was right, everything was right just like this. Mirio felt Izuku smiling through the kiss and pressing his tongue back skillfully. They parted naturally and Izuku rested his head on his chest. “Wanna stay for dinner?”

“Wanna stay forever!” Camie shouted from a distance. 

Izuku blushed to his shoulders and pulled away, tucking a green lock behind his ear. 

Camie and Katuski’s heads peeked out from behind the wall. Camie was perfectly calm but Katsuki had a blushing face as well. “We were listening! Not stalking! So don’t fucking start Deku.” 

Izuku nodded and looked back at Mirio. 

“Dinner would be great.”

Izuku all but kicked the door down and shouted, “I kissed Mirio!”

“You what?!”

“O’ shit.” 

“Deku! Why did you do that?”

“He’s the one I was dreaming of! He’s my soulmate!” 

“Congrats!” Camie cheered. 

“Deku, do you think this is a good idea?”

“I’m positive,” he said with a stern voice. 

“Alright,” Katsuki scratched his head. ‘“If that’s what you believe is best then let’s fucking celebrate.”

“WOOOOOO,” Camie ripped off her shirt, only sporting a sports bra underneath. “Let’s party!!” 

“Camie! You’ll embarrass him to a coma!” 

Izuku mumbled under his breath and looked away. 

“You broke him!” 

“My bad.” She put her shirt back on and shook Izuku. “Wake up I’m wearing a shirt now ya feel?”

“Yeah ok let’s get wasted!!” 

All of them got out drinks and watched anime getting drunk off their asses. Izuku passed out on the floor and Katuski carried him to his bed and then he and Camie had some fun all night long. 

When he woke up he wasn’t as hungover as he was expecting. Camie however was blending up an egg spinach smoothie and plugging her nose so she could swallow it down in one gulp. “Want some babe?”

“I just need grease and hot sauce.” Katuski looked at Izuku and narrowed his eyes. “This fucker… why aren’t you hungover??”

“High tolerance?”

“How? You’re a string bean.”

“A string bean that has a high tolerance.” 

There was a pause for a second before Katsuki launched himself at Izuku. The two of them rolled around on the ground while Izuku laughed and Katsuki noogied his head. “High tolerance my ass!” 

“Then how do you explain it?”

Katuski paused for a second and noogied him some more. “You little punk you think you’re funny don’t you?” 

“No… yes.” 

Katuski stared at him for a second and then tickled him. Izuku laughed as Katsuki tickled him mercilessly. 

“Ka- haha- Kacchann stop!” 

Katuski stopped and ruffled his hair, “You going to the gym today?”

“Yup!” he said standing up and dusting off his legs. 

“Wanna ride?”

“I’ll take the bus!” 

Izuku hummed the whole bus ride. This was so exciting! This was his soulmate they were talking about. Things were going to be smooth sailing he can tell. 

As he arrived at the gym, the previously mortifying gym seemed nothing but bright and welcoming. Izuku walked with a pep in his step not caring that he was a solid 50 pounds lighter than everyone in the whole room and definitely a different body type. Most people were solid hunks and bears and the women looked beefy too. He was a twink through and through but now that his soulmate was here he didn’t need to be insecure! 

He felt his heartbeat rising as he made his way to the third floor. Any minute now. 

As he hoped and dreamed for, there he stood at the top of the stairs. He waved with a big smile on his face. “Welcome back Izuku!” 

Welcome home Izuku. 

“Hi!” Izuku chuckled.

“Come upstairs the class is about to start!”

“Haiii.” He ran up the stairs with a big smile on his face. As he got into the classroom he wrapped his hands as Mirio showed him the day before. Oh boy he was so so excited. Time for his first real class! 

Mirio walked to the front of the class and gave an award-winning smile. “Alright everyone, let’s start with some stretching.”

There were 11 other students. Wow they were all so big and scary. 

Izuku’s nerves were starting to come back so he decided to play a game Kacchan taught him. Choose the scariest person in the room and give them the funniest back story.

“Ok let’s start with some stretching.” Mirio’s voice was soft and soothing. 

Ok let’s start with Mr.Sideburns. The man on the farthest left had bright red hair and sharp sideburns. He wore all workout clothes and had pure black shoes. He probably wants to be a hero. You can tell with the color coordination. He lost his 17-year-old dog at a young age, permanently scarring him. He swore vengeance on old age after that, his new dream to make sure no one died of old age. 

Next is a girl with ballerina workout clothes. There was a woman in a spandex unitard and leg warmers. She was a ballerina as a child but then naruto style she lost her whole clan in a concert gone wrong. She is now a hardened badass that never takes no for an answer. 

“Next we will be stretching our pelvis muscles.” Mirio stretched his hips showing the class proper form. 

One more person and then I need to focus. How about oh shit that’s Sun Eater! It’s hard to tell when he’s hiding in his hoodie. Wow I wonder if I can get his signature…

“Ok here is our first sequence, jab cross jab cross, hook upper hook, roundhouse, everyone got that?”

No.

“Yes sir!” the room cheered. 

“You need some help?” A girl with soft blue hair said. 

“Izuku gasped, you’re!”

“Most people here are heroes or heroes in training. You’ll be happy to see some familiar faces.”

I could die happy, right here, right now.

“Ok so the sequence is jab cross, jab cross, kook upper hook, and roundhouse. Show me your best with the jabs and crosses.” 

Izuku showed her the jab and cross, with his feet firmly planted on the ground. 

“Now your form is alright but you need to remember to move your whole body not just your arms.” 

Wow this is so much harder than it looks. 

“Togata makes everything look easy doesn’t he?”

Izuku looked at Mirio dreamily. 

“You really like him don’t you?”

Izuku squeaked and covered his face with his gloves. “I um!” 

“He talked about you all night by the way.” 

Izuku’s cheeks flushed and he looked over at Mirio instructing someone in proper form with a big smile on his face. Mirio made eye contact and the two of them smiled at each other. His heart beat a little faster in his chest, it wasn’t as fast as usual. It was a strong powerful pulsing, it wasn’t his own. 

He held his chest and noticed Mirio doing the same. The two of them blushed and returned to kickboxing. 

“Well you two are adorable,” Nejire laughed. 

Izuku stuttered and covered his face with his boxing gloves again. 

“Time for the next sequence!”

By the end of the class Izuku was both enamored and exhausted. He was ready to go to bed for a few days maybe. His chest heaved as he unwrapped his hand wraps, he looked over to see Mirio looking his way. Mirio smiled and walked closer before clapping his hand on his back saying, “you did great Izuku!”

“Ooooh, first names, very interesting.” 

“Oh Nejire!” Mirio said scratching the back of his neck. “Didn’t you have um, a thing you were going to do after the class?”

She gave a knowing smile and said, “Oh yeah! I’ll grab Tamaki and clean up the classroom, why don’t you walk Midoriya home? “He looks a little winded.”

They both looked over to see Izuku wheezing with his palms on his knees. He looked up wipings the sweat off his brow and smiled. His long sleeve shirt clung to his sweaty body making Mirio wonder why he didn’t take it off. 

“Sounds good! Ready to walk home Izuku?”

He nodded, zipping up his bag and heading out the door side by side with the beefy blonde. “Thanks, you two!” He cheered. 

The walk down the stairs was a little nerve-racking for both of them. What to talk about… what to say? 

“You did really good today,” Mirio said softly. 

Izuku held his bag tight and he stuttered, “t-thank you.” 

“Where do you live by the way, alone or with family?”

“I live with Kacchan, um well, Ground Zero.” 

“Oh of course, he mentioned you lived with him when he was asking about my class and this gym.”

Izuku smiled as he thought about his best friend. “We’ve been close since we were kids. I don’t know what I would do without him.”

“Oh yeah?” Mirio held the door open for him. 

“Yeah he’s always been there for me, I would probably be homeless right now or at least moved to America with my Mom. I failed English every year I took it, that would be a nightmare.”

Mirio laughed. “Why were you looking for a place to stay?”

“Um.” He tightened his grip on the green gym bag strapped across his chest. His throat started to dry up and his body began to shake. 

Remember what Kacchan said. 

Take three deep breaths, in and out. Wiggle your toes, count your fingers, do all these things until you calm down.

“Bad break up,” Izuku managed to get out in a clear voice. Mirio’s face was soft and his eyebrows were wrinkled. There was no point in trying to deceive this guy, he can see right through him. 

“When you’re ready to talk about them, let me know, and I’ll be here.” 

He noticed the gender-neutral term. He really did see right through him. “Not yet, but I will, thank you.” 

Mirio bumped his arm and chuckled. Izuku bumped him back giggling. The two of them locked eyes, a spark of a challenge between them. The two of them pushed against each other laughing as they walked down the street. Izuku brushed off slightly and started to fall. Mirio grabbed him and pulled him close the two of them mere inches apart giggling and out of breath. 

“Is this hah- how you normally walk people home?”

“I hah- I don’t know what you’re talking about?”

They grinned again and walked back to his apartment normally, fingers interlaced. The apartment came all too quickly. Izuku walked up to the door and turned around a small smile on his face. Mirio gave one small peck and said, “I’ll see you tomorrow?”

“Um…” Izuku chewed on his lip. “Wanna come in for a drink?”

A haunted look came over his eyes before he gave a cheery, “Nope! Goodbye!” He marched away robotically. 

Izuku stared blankly as he left and walked inside just as blankly. He walked up to the counter, dropped his bag, and stared at the wall, his emotions going so crazy he couldn’t even imagine what he did wrong. 

“DEKU!” 

“Nn?” Izuku turned around to see a concerned Camie and also concerned but irate Kacchan. “I called out like five times!! What the fuck is wrong?!”

“I don’t… I don’t know.”

Their eyes met and Mirio lost his voice. They stared at each other, without a word. It couldn’t have been for more than 5 seconds but for them it could have been years. 

Curiosity. 

Awe.

Admiration.

Wonder. 

Attraction. 

Mirio shook his head and smiled. “Mirio, Mirio Togata.” 

“Nice to meet you Togata-senpai.” 

Mirio scratched the back of his neck, the atmosphere still so thick and new. Their eyes refused to part and their mouths refused to stop smiling. Izuku hadn’t felt this enamored since… since ever. 

“Since you missed the class, how about I train you personally.” 

“I would like that,” Izuku smiled shyly. 

His brand new gym bag had bright green gloves, one of Katsuki’s old water bottles, and some black wraps. (thank you Kacchan) He pulled out the wraps and tried to remember how Kacchan did it. He started with his thumb but by the time he got to his knuckles it was all tangled up. 

“Here, let me help.” Togata reached for his hand and both of them felt the electricity run through their veins. “You wrap this part around your thumb,” Togata said softly. He stood from behind him and held his wrist with one hand and the other wrapping his palm. “Then you wrap it around your wrist again, and then around your palm, now this is the tricky part.” 

His chest is so broad, I feel so safe. 

Izuku was as pink as a strawberry and just as freckled, he listened intently but only got every other word. “Then you go in between your pinky,” he said holding his crooked finger. “And you wrap it around your palm again, and then go around your wrist and move onto the next finger. 

He’s so close. 

“Ok now you try the other hand.” 

“Ok,” Izuku peeped. 

He tried winding the wrap as Togata showed him, but he was so nervous he messed it up again. He tried weaving it around as he was taught but it got twisted around and he didn’t wrap it around his wrist enough making a large tangled ball on his fingers. “I um-”

“It’s fine, let me show you again.” 

He was back in his broad chest. He wanted to curl up against him forever. He ignored that thought. He just met this man how could he be thinking about such things. 

It feels like I’ve known you my whole life. 

“It feels that way for me too,” Togata said holding both of his now wrapped hands from behind him. 

“It does?”

“I can’t shake the feeling that you’re supposed to be in my life.”

“Me, me too!” 

They stayed in their position for a few more moments before they both got embarrassed. “Well um, ready to start the lesson?”

Izuku nodded with a shy smile on his face. 

“Alright let’s start with the basics. I want you to do a cross and a jab. A jab is a punch with your lead arm. Your lead arm is the arm that is on the same side as the leg that is forward or the lead leg.” 

“Oh, ok!” 

He gestured for Izuku to make the position. Izuku put his fists up in an awkward way and faced the bag. 

“You’re too tense, try this.” Togata held onto his arm and legs moving him into the desired position. “Now shoulders up, keep your fists in front of your face, and try your best to be more fluid, relaxed.” 

Izuku nodded. 

“Now when you jap you twist your foot lead foot into it, like this.” Togata did the moment looking completely like a professional boxer. The bag flew almost touching the ceiling but he caught it on the way back. “Now you try!” 

Izuku swallowed dryly very extra sure that the bag won’t move at all for him. He twisted his body like he was shown and hit the bag. It somehow moved a whole three inches. Izuku’s eyes lit up in surprise. 

“Hey that was pretty good, do you want to try a cross? It’s like this.” He showed him the cross, moving his tantalizing muscles as he knocked the bag away again. 

Izuku shook his head and tried again. His arms were a little off-center but his form was good. Togata shook his head in approval. “Good job! Let’s move forward.”

He showed him hooks and kicks, and a little bit of kidney punches before noticing how tired Izuku looked. “Let’s go get some fluids. It’s on me.” 

Izuku looked up at him with stars in his eyes. He was his soulmate, he was sure of it. He knew most people didn’t have the dream, didn’t have any kind of connection with anyone, and honestly people who did have the dream were envious. They could never date around without thinking about their one and only and they might never meet them. This was a big world and the chances were high. 

But this was him! He was a hero too and built and handsome, Izuku was so lucky. That is if he feels the same way. 

Togata opened the fridge and pulled out two Gatorades and tossed one to Izuku who barely caught it. “Um Togata,” Izuku began.

“Just call me Mirio,” he said with a bright smile. 

“Did you… Did you have the dream?”

Mirio smiled even brighter. He nodded yes. 

Tears poured out of Izuku’s eyes and Mirio rushed over putting his hand on his shoulder. “What’s wrong?”

“I never thought I would find you, I thought I would be trapped in the dark forever.” 

Mirio brushed his cheek with his fingers and rested them under his chin. “I did too.” 

Izuku jumped on the very tops of his toes and pressed a quick kiss on Mirio’s mouth before retreating. He was like a strawberry again blushing widely. 

Mirio leaned over and pressed a passionate kiss on his mouth, the two of them losing the world around them. It was like the whole gym had vanished and they were in that park he dreamed of. Izuku wrapped his arms around his neck and let himself feel. 

The heat growing between them was soothing and calm. There was no urgency, they had their whole lives together why would they rush this first kiss? 

They pulled back and bumped foreheads, Izuku smiling softly and Mirio grinning happily. 

“Wow,” they said in unison.

Ghost of my Dreams – SFW – Chapter 3

CW: Past domestic abuse

“Hmmm, I don’t see why not!” 

Takami smiled at his friend. Those AA meetings have really helped him get back on his feet. It’s five months since the accident and he wasn’t quite back to normal but he was at least acting like himself again. They took away all of his alcohol, which was Mirio’s idea by the way, and since then things have been going upwards. He’s able to jog and work out again, which was sorely needed. 

He started working out four hours a day and it felt great to move again. His head hurt, it always hurt. But that’s not anything he could change. He gave up all his narcotics as well, he just took medicine for swelling and over the counter pain medicine. 

So his head was going to hurt. But it’s better than the alternative. 

The alternative being hurting his best friends and his family. 

But Tamaki had an idea. He had a way he could get some sort of a schedule, something that was anywhere close to where he used to be. 

“So you’ll do it?” Tamaki couldn’t help the eagerness of his voice. 

“I’ve always wanted to be a personal trainer! Do you think I’m qualified?”

There was a pause and they both burst into laughter. 

“Alright alright that was a stupid question.” 

“Let’s head to the gym, I’ll introduce you to the owner. It is mostly hero students so you should have a great time!” 

Mirio had a look of excitement sparkling in his eyes. Tamaki looked at him and felt tears pricking in the corners. How long has it been since he looked at this man and saw his friend? 

“Keep up Tamaki!” Mirio cheered. 

“Coming!” he said, wiping his eyes with his sleeve. 

They arrived at the gym and Mirio was in awe of its grandeur. It was three stories tall. The bottom floor was just cardio. There were lots of drinking fountains and a wide variety of treadmills for a wide variety of types of people. Oh wow! This was exciting! 

They walked up the stairs to the top floor and he took a glance at the second floor as they went by. Weights, and lots of them. They had dumbbells from 5-500 pounds. There were weighted ropes, tires, free weights, guided weights, it was a gym junkies dream! So where were the gym junkies? 

“How new is this gym?”

“They just opened. That’s why the position is available.”

“Is it ok if I’m only here a few months?”

Tamaki stopped walking and looked flustered for a second. “I’m sure it will be! Let’s go meet the owner. 

What was that all about? 

A very muscular but short man walked up to the two heroes. He smiled widely and gave a short bow. “Togata! It’s nice to meet you! My name is Uruk Hai, but just call me Uru.  I’ve been talking to your ‘agent’ here the last week or so.” 

Mirio laughed and said, “Tamaki isn’t my agent but if he was he did a good job! I would love to work here! But I’ll be returning as a hero in about 6 months, is that ok?”

Uru gave Tamaki a glance and he nodded. He must have talked to him about the short time period as well. 

“That is just fine my boy!” He laughed. “Why don’t I show you around. I saw you admiring while you took the stairs! 

He nodded. “It is very amazing sir!” 

“I’m no sir, you’ll find that out soon enough. I want everyone in this gym to be best friends by the end of the year, do you think you can do that?”

“Yes s- Uru!” 

Uru laughed patting Mirio on the back. “You’re a good kid. Amajiki you can stay if you want but I’m gonna get him the lay down of how the next… few months will be!” 

“I’m heading out Mirio, see you soon?”

Mirio smiled and gave a thumbs up. Tamaki gave a warm smile. This was going to work, it was going to be ok. 

“Now let’s start with the third floor since we are here and we can work our way down. The gym opens up in a week and so you and the other trainers have a lot to do!” 

“Well I’m up for the challenge!” 

“Perfect! Now you are going to be leading two classes and have up to five sessions a day. When you aren’t in a class or a PT session you are free to train or even go home and watch TV! It’s a very loose schedule. We want you to have a good time and work hard but go home and rest sometimes too! Your two classes are high intensity, but I can trade classes if you are worried that’ll be too much?”

“My head is a lot better, as long as I’m not contact boxing or scuba diving I will be fine.” 

“Perfect! Both of your classes will be on floor three, most of them are.” 

“Ah why is that?”

“Most of the other two floors are covered in equipment, our classes require space.” 

“Ah and what will my classes be?”

“Intermediate weights and freestyle, non-contact, kickboxing. Sounds good to you?”

“Yes! I love both of those things.”

“Perfect, so your kickboxing class will take place in this empty kickboxing room.” 

He peaked past the glass and saw a completely empty room minus some yoga mats in the corner. 

“Where are the boxing bags?”

“Check this out.” He pressed a button and numerous bags popped out of the ceiling.

“Wow cool!!” 

“Yup, they go back up just as easy.” He pressed the same button and they were pulled back into the ceiling.

“Now your other class will be over here on this rubber floor mat. 

The mat was about 10ft by 10 ft and also had nothing on it. 

“The weights?”

“Yes! You pull them out of the wall like this.” he pulled out a drawer hidden in the mirror that had organized weights and poles and clips to attach them too. 

“This is very nice.” 

“We got a lot of donations from various hero agencies.” 

“Why would they donate?”

“Only heroes, families of heroes, and heroes in training are allowed to use this gym. It is also a great place for heroes to work out while they recover from an injury or illness.”

“Like me!” 

The man gave a hesitant smile, “yes like you… So let’s start the tour!” 

He showed him the rest of the upstairs and then the next two floors explaining what each machine did and what type of person to recommend it to. 

For example people with hooves can’t use the same treadmills as people with feet. 

It was over three hours before he left, so once he did he was happily exhausted. It would only be a few months, but he was going to enjoy his time there.

“Hey Deku, you left some trash in the bathroom.” 

“Oh my god… I’m so sorry I’ll clean it up right now.” Izuku fought tears as he ran to the bathroom. 

“I already got it.” 

The tears he was trying to fight burst through the dam and he fell to the ground and sobbed. “Please don’t kick me out please I’m sorry!” 

“Jesus! Deku chill the fuck out!” 

“But you’re mad…”

Katsuki grabbed his arm and pulled him so he would be standing. “Deku, I’m not mad.” 

Izuku didn’t pull his arm away as he expected, he just looked at him with sad eyes and nodded.

“Deku am I hurting you?”

Izuku nodded, still not pulling his arm away. 

“Shit Deku, I don’t want to hurt you! Tell me if it hurts!” 

“B-b-but then you’ll really be mad at me.” 

“I’m not mad at you!!” He shouted. 

“Babe…” Camie said from the couch. “Let him go.” 

He let go and she held her arms out. Izuku ran to her on the couch and cried. She pet his hair and the two of them made eye contact and had a silent conversation. 

~What the fuck do we do!~

Katsuki narrowed his eyes and Camie narrowed her back as she gently played with Izuku’s hair. 

“Hey Izu,” she cooed. 

“Nn?”

“Why don’t you try some fighting class or something.” 

“Why would I do that?” He said, peaking his way out of her lap. 

“That’s a good idea babe, you need to get some fight in you.”

“I don’t want to go to a class…” 

“Too fucking bad you’re going.” 

Izuku stood up and looked over. “But Kacchan!” 

“But nothing, you’re being sad and pathetic.” 

Izuku didn’t get angry, he just frowned. 

“Exactly! When we were kids you would have gotten mad at me! Now you just look more pathetic!”

“You’re right…” 


“No! Get angry!” 

“Get angry?” Izuku said, quiring his head. 

“Yell at me! I won’t hurt you if you disappoint me!” 

“I can’t!” Izuku wrapped his arms around himself and cried. 

“Fuck…” Katsuki grabbed his friend and pulled him into a hug. 

“I told you snuggles were the answer,” she whispered.

“Ok looks like all of the students are here!” 

Mirio looked about the room at the 11 students all dressed in workout gear with gloves. Wait there’s supposed to be 12. 

He continued the lesson without the final student but he felt like the air was off. Everyone gave a bow and he began to clean up the room. His head was completely clear for a moment. 

He felt a pulse ripping through his veins but it was not his own. 

He felt nervous energy but it was not his own

“I’m sorry I’m late, I-”

A short slim man with fluffy green hair and an abundance of freckles looked at him with wide eyes. He was timid, maybe even a little scared. He had scars on his wrist that Mirio was dying to know about, all of him. He wanted to know all of him. He wanted to hold him and tell him it’ll be ok and maybe believe it this time. 

It was like. 

It feels like I’ve known you my whole life.

“It feels that way for me too.” 

Izuku gasped and stared into his eyes, taking one step forward and stopping. “Hi, my name is Izuku Midoriya…”

Ghost of my Dreams – SFW – Chapter 2

“Deku, are you coming or not?”

“Coming Kacchan!” 

Two little boys with dirty shirts and scraped knees ran across the beach. Izuku looked over the sea and saw the sun setting. “Beautiful.” 

“Deku! We’re going to miss the All Might special feature!”

“Coming!!” 

A red cape. 

Smile. 

Bright smile.

It feels like I’ve known you my whole life.

“I’ll leave you behind Deku!” 

“Coming!!” 

Izuku ran through the sand, the cool breeze off the ocean giving him chills. That thought before, it was strange. But he was 10, no point in worrying about dreams like that anyways. 

Kacchan got a quirk and he didn’t. But they didn’t let it come between them. He says the other guys they hang out with have loser quirks and ‘Deku isn’t that worse off without them.’ 

They sat next to each other in his mom’s house eating snacks and making jokes while they watched All Might on TV. Izuku’s mom had to call to ask him to come back because he was taking too long and Kacchan pouted. 

It was fun playing with Kacchan… but when he goes to UA…

We won’t talk anymore.

“Quit crying Deku, we will still live in the same city.”

Izuku sniffled while tears dripped down his cheeks. “B-b-but we won’t see each other anymore!!”

“Fucking Deku I just said we will be in the same city!”

“B-b-but you won’t have time for me!”

“I’m training to be a hero, Deku, I won’t have time for anything.”

Izuku bawled even more.

“Shh Deku, hush up will you? I promise when I’m a hero I’ll come find you again!” 

That seemed to cheer Izuku up a little. “Promise.” 

He bumped his forehead hard enough to leave a mark. “I promise.”

“You know what will happen if we get caught…” Izuku whispered. 

A hand snaked around his waist and pulled him close. “We won’t get caught.”

Izuku giggled as Awase kissed around his neck. “Promise?”

“I promise.”

“I better not catch you with my little brother again, fag.”

Izuku nodded silently. 

Tears soaked his shirt and stained his cheeks. Blood was caked under his broken nose and he sat in a puddle on the ground. 

“Izu- I’m sorry I-” The other boy said, his eyes beading with tears. 

“Yosetsu, we’re leaving. You know what Dad would do if he found out.

“…I’m sorry,” he said, walking away leaving Izuku alone in a wet puddle. 

I wonder how Kacchan is doing… I hope you’re living your dreams Kacchan

“Ok Todoroki,” Izuku began. 

“Nah, just call me Touya, Todoroki is my father.” 

“Ok… Touya.” Izuku had to fight a smile. “Do you know who the owner of this bakery is?”

“Me of course!” 

“Are you hiring?”

“For you I am.”

“Touya tell me,” Izuku said in a fake formal accent. “To what do you owe your success?” 

Izuku sat on his boyfriend’s lap, sipping sake and fighting hard to not smile. “Your bakery was listed as the top bakery in Mustafu, you must have something you can tell us commoners that will lead us to greatness as you did?”

“Step 1: learn to bake.” Touya sipped some sake and set it down, wrapping his arms around his lover and kissing behind his ear. “Step 2: get a twink boyfriend.”

“I am not a twink!” Izuku giggled. 

“Step 3: make love on the counter.”

“We never did that! That’s unsanitary!” 

“Do you want to?”

Touya lay Izuku on the kitchen counter and lathered his neck in kisses. Izuku moaned and spread his arms out on the counter smiling as Touya nibbled on his ear. “I love you Izuku Midoriya.”

“I don’t know Touya…” Izuku was naked and sitting on his lap. He had several purple marks on his neck and a few pink ones that were on their way to it. “I’m not comfortable with that.”

“Baby you’re being a buzzkill.” 

“I don’t like bondage…”

“Baby I do stuff for you every day, I brought you flowers today!” 

“Yeah…” 

“Just this once?”

“Just this once.”

“We can’t keep using this rope, it leaves marks and I hate wearing long sleeves. I think this one is permanent…” Izuku massaged his wrists and frowned. 

“Why do you need to wear short sleeves? You only need to wear them in the kitchen and in the kitchen you’re only with me!”

“But it’s almost summer, it’s going to be hot soon.”

Suddenly Touya made a face Izuku hadn’t seen before. He towered above him as he was 5 inches taller and spat, “are you trying to show off?”

“No baby no, it’s just hot.” 

Without warning Touya started kissing his neck and pulling at his shirt. Izuku wouldn’t admit it for a long time, but he was scared at this moment, he was scared and he trusted that his boyfriend loved him, so he let him do what he wanted.

“Deku is that you?”

Izuku’s heart beat quickly, he turned his head and walked a little faster. No not today, not like this, he can’t see him like this.

“Oi Deku! I know that’s you, why are you running?”

Izuku saw an alleyway and made a break for it. He doesn’t exercise much but he does jog, maybe he can-

A strong hand gripped his wrist and he cried out in pain.

“Fuck Deku, that felt broken.” 

Izuku finally looked over with pitiful eyes at his friend. 

Katsuki looked good, very good. His face was clear, his hair was a bright blonde, his jaw was much sharper than the last time Izuku saw him. He was in street clothes so he was just wearing a black shirt and black skinny jeans. His eyes were latent with concern, he let go of his arm and pulled back his sleeve. 

His face grew grim. “Deku, who did this to you?”

Izuku had a black eye and a bloody lip, he had black splotches around his wrist, and tears dripped down his cheeks. 

“We’re going to the hospital, let’s go.” 

“But I have to-”

“We’re going.”

“How did this fracture happen again?” The doctor said as she examined his arm. 

“I’m just clumsy, that’s all.”

“Bull-fucking-shit.” 

He felt an unbelievable pull towards the hallway. He began to turn around when Katsuki put his hand on his shoulder. “Tell me who did this or I will hunt them down and lose my hero license.” 

“It was my boyfriend!” Izuku sobbed. Here it comes, the judgment, the hatred. 

“I’ll kill him.” 

He wasn’t disgusted?

“No I’m not disgusted Deku! I don’t give a shit if you’re gay! My best friend is gay and I couldn’t give two shits about who he fucks. I’m mad someone fucked you up and I didn’t know about it!” 

“Let’s calm down now.” The doctor placed her hand on both of their arms. “I’m going to get this cast and I want you to talk to the police. They’ll listen to a hero. If you don’t… I’m afraid prejudice ends a lot of investigations before they begin.” 

“I understand, I’ll talk to them.”

“Kacchan… where will I go? I lived with him, I…” 

“With me you dumb fuck.”

“With you?”

“And my girlfriend. She’s kinda stupid and is on her phone too much, but fucking hot and a good person. Also, she’s a hero, so you’ll love her. I gave her a heads up and she said it was cool if you took the guest bedroom. It used to be her bedroom at first when we were roommates but now it’s where the plants and the bunnies live.”

“I’m staying with you?”

“Haiiiii, did you not listen?”

Suddenly Izuku felt the pull again. He began to look behind him and Katsuki pulled him back. “Come on, I’m not letting you get run over on the crosswalk, let’s get home already.” 

“Home.” 

Katuski smiled. “Yeah home.”

“Babe.” 

Katsuki opened his eyes to see his girlfriend looming over him. “Boo, yo’ twink boy made us breakfast.” 

“You can’t call him twink boy, Jesus Camie.”

“Whatchu problem? He’s chill with it.” 

“You could literally shoot him and he would thank you, don’t call him a twink to his face.”

“Well he made breakfast, and it look damn delicious sooooo.” 

“I’m coming I’m coming, and just because he’s gay doesn’t mean you can walk around naked you know that right?”

“But he’s gay?”

“He’s still a guy Camie! Jesus! You’ll embarrass him into a coma!” 

He walked into the kitchen to see for the 30th day in a row he made a 5-star breakfast for them. Today it was crepes and eggs with a scone and some hashbrowns. Now that his cast was off he was really getting back into the groove with his baking skills. 

“Good morning Kacchan, Camie, ready to eat?”

“You don’t have to do this every morning Deku.” 

“You don’t… you don’t like it?” He all but crumpled into a tiny heap. 

“I love it Deku just don’t stress your arm too much.” 

“The doctor said I needed to use my arm to bring it back to its previous strength.”

“Babe,” Camie whispered. “I don’t want this to end babe, let him cook fo’ us.” 

“Thanks, Deku, let’s eat.” 

Izuku smiled brightly and they dug into the breakfast that would put any restaurant to shame. They bought him a deep fryer and he’s been having a great time. He’s starting to act like himself, he’s finally Izuku Midoriya again. 

Ghost of my Dreams – SFW – Miriizu

Ringing, loud, piercing, unbearable noise. 

Pulsing, painful, burning, unbelievable pain. 

He tried to move but rocks covered every limb, dust cakes his face and mouth. He coughed and blood spurt onto his hands, what happened?

“Lemillion, come in!” 

“I’m here Sun Eater, are there any civilians left?” Lemillion called out. He looked at the collapsing building and prayed there was no one left inside. A villain had landed on this elementary school during a fight and collapsed the building. Four children were dead and many injured but all of them had been evacuated, all except two. 

“Please!! Maharo went after her brother and I can’t find them anywhere. She’s four feet tall with brown hair and her little brother is three feet eight inches with brown hair and- please please save them!” 

“Did you hear that Lemillion?”

“Roger, I’ll get them out alive.” 

The rooms had dust overtaking the air, making it beyond hard to breathe. There was debris everywhere. Large clumps of the wall all over the ground making him have to slow down to maneuver around it. There were kids in there that needed to be saved. He wouldn’t leave without them. 

Suddenly he heard a soft sobbing noise. Where was it coming from? 

“Hello! Can you hear me? I’m a hero. I’m here to save you!!”

“H-help! Nee-chan isn’t waking up!” A soft voice shouted before coughing. 

“I’m coming, stay where you are!” 

He rapidly pushed back the debris and saw a closet in the empty classroom. Smart kids. “I’m here, shout so I can hear you.” 

“We’re in the closet!”

He opened the closet door and saw a tearful child meeting the teacher’s description. In his arms was his elder sister with a deep gash on her forehead. She needed medical attention immediately. 

“Hold on tight I’m getting us out of here.” 

Wrapping both of the kids in his arms he made his way through the nightmare that was this once bright and happy school. It was sad seeing the bright colored paint chipped and worn by the destruction. The duckling decorations hanging from what remains of the roof. Things like losing people, not being fast enough, or not being able to save someone they are trained to overcome. But they never tell you about the little things, like the twenty tiny shoes left behind, that will bother a hero for weeks. 

The little girl whimpered in her unconscious state. He crept through the wreckage faster. He couldn’t run, no if he jostled her too much she could really be hurt. Plus it seemed like the building was stable, for now. 

He rushed anyways holding the children close. 

“Your name is Katsuma-kun right?”

“Nn.” The little boy said holding onto the hero as tight as possible. 

“What’s your favorite animal Katsuma?”

“I like turtles.” 

“Oh? Me too! What a coincidence. What do you like about turtles?” 

“I think their shells are cool. Sometimes I wish I had a shell so I could hide when I was scared.” 

“I understand. Life is scary. But that’s what heroes are for! Give it a month and you’ll be eating cereal like everything is back to normal because it will be!” 

Katsuma seemed pleased with that answer and cozied into his chest. Mirio took a peek at Maharo and noticed her skin getting paler by the second. He needed to hurry. As the entrance came into the clearing he saw the entrance was completely blocked. Shit, he didn’t have time to look for another exit. 

“Come in Sun Eater.” 

“I’m here, where are you?”

“The entrance is blocked, is there any other opening?”

“Not that we’ve seen, and the integrity of the building is getting worse by the second. We’re going to have to blast through the wall.” 

“No, I have an idea.” 

“You wanted to talk to me?”

“I have a technique I want you to try. Hold something in your hand and vibrate the item so you can phase anything with your quirk.”

“Is that possible?”

“Anything is possible in your hands Mirio-shounen.” 

“I have a technique I’ve been working on but-” 

“But what?”

Mirio looked at the children in his arms and made up his mind. 

“Mirio?”

“Katsuma, I’m going to push you outside with your sister, when I push you through I need you to call everyone over to help her, can you do that?’

Katsuma made a serious face. His adorable features shouldn’t have been able to make a face so grim. “I will.” 

“Mirio!” 

“It’s going to be ok Tamaki.” 

He grabbed Katsuma and Maharo and closed his eyes. He can do this, he can do this. He can save these kids. 

He began with his feet. Like he had done thousands of times before he felt the vibration from his toes to his calves. The rumbling in every cell of his body spread to his stomach to his arms to his face, he held it for a few moments. He took a deep breath in and moved every vibration into his fingers and into the children, phasing them through the broken walls. He pushed his whole body through the wall until his fingers breached into the air. The kids were on the other side. 

He fell backward back into the destruction. 

Swollen membranes in his skull forced his vision to be blurry and weak. His whole body shook and his stomach emptied onto the ground. He needed to get out of here. His friends were waiting for him. 

“Ta-m-k-ii N-ji-re I n–d hlpj.” 

Words, words were impossible to form. He stumbled in the hallway tripping over everything, blood dripping from his nose. He saw a broken window, his exit. The lights were odd, but he wasn’t sure what was special about them. He crawled through the window and a piece of the roof caved in covering him in debris.

A path connected them all. It was a stoney path, every rock was a different size. On the bench was a man. He had green hair, very curly, pale skin, covered with freckles. He was cute, but where did he know him from?

It was like. 

It feels like I’ve known you my whole life.

“Ready for your 4 pm walk?”

Turning his head hurts, it makes the world go fuzzy, and his mouth tastes like metal. So he moved his shoulders and his head at the same time. “I think that would be good, can I have my medicine first?”

“Sure thing hon, 100mg of Morphine coming right up.” 

She squirted out the air in the syringe and then gave him his dose. Mirio felt the pressure in his head lessen and smiled. “Alright ready for my walk!” 

The nurse put a gait belt around his waist and held onto it while the two of them walked around the hospital campus. 

“I’m just clumsy that’s all.” 

“Bull-fucking-shit!”

Mirio looked over his shoulder.

Green hair. 

He’s crying. 

“Keep walking Togata, let’s give him some privacy.” 

But he needs me.

“When is he going to wake up?”

“We have to give him more time, he had a severe hemorrhage in his frontal lobe.”

Tamaki sighed resting his hand on Mirio’s shoulder. “Wake up Mirio, we’re here for you.”

*** 

“Are all these cans from you?” A soft feminine voice asked. 

Mirio took the last sip from his beer bottle before tossing it to the side. “It’s not a big deal.” Around his entire apartment were trash and beer cans and bottles. His bottle of Vicodin was on the counter, empty. 

“Mirio! You can’t mix Vicodin and alcohol!!” 

“I can do what I want!” 

Tamaki looked at Mirio with wide eyes. He burst into tears. “You’re not acting like yourself! Who is this person you’ve become?!?!” Nejire held onto his arm sobbing as well. 

Tamaki turns on his phone’s camera and show’s Mirio his reflection. Dingy flat hair, furious eyes, unshaven face, and worst of all a hateful expression. He immediately gasped. That wasn’t a hero’s face. That wasn’t even an ex hero’s face!

That was a villain’s face. One that was making his best friends cry. 

“I need help.” 

The three of them hugged each other tightly sobbing as they fell onto the ground. He was going to be ok. Maybe not right now, maybe not for a while, but he’ll get through this.

“I’m sorry, what?” Mirio said with an award-winning smile. 

“I talked to your doctor, your last check-up didn’t go well. We can’t have someone on the field that is having memory problems.” 

“But I’m getting better!” 

“You’ll keep getting better, but until your memory problems are gone, you are hanging up your cape.”

“I am Mirio Togata and I’m an alcoholic.”

A stream of people crossed the street from underneath Mirio’s hospital room. They pointed him towards the street so he could people watch without moving his head. People watching was fun. It was one of his favorite parts of a stakeout. Looking at the people walking around. Make up backstories for the people that lingered. Think about what their personalities were like, who they were as a person, where they were going, who were they going home to. 

That’s when he spotted a familiar blonde head of hair. “Bakugou.” 

The nurse peeked her head in and said, “ah yes, he came to pick up his friend. I can’t share the details but I hope that poor soul will be happier now.” 

Under Bakugou’s arm was a green head of hair.

The man started to look behind him and Bakugou tugged him along.

Good Boy – SFW (for now) – Chaper 5

Katsuki looked at the bedroom at his snoring owner. Maybe he could make breakfast today. Yeah, he makes it look so easy when Deku makes dinner. He can pull this off easily. He peaked back in their shared bedroom. 

Deku had a nightmare last night. He didn’t tell him but he could figure it out. The crying, the shaking, holding his scars. It made Katsuki furious. Who hurt his Deku and where are they so he can tear them limb from limb. 

No, that would make Deku sad. He can’t risk anyway that they could separate them. Deku was kinda useless, so he would probably die if he wasn’t there with him. 

Anyways, it’s time for waffles. 

Katsuki read the directions and rolled his eyes. Directions are for losers. He doesn’t need them. He dumps as much of the waffle mix as he sees fit, and pours some milk. He cracks two eggs adding them as well as cinnamon and vanilla. He pours it in the waffle maker a little excited to see how it turns out. 

Izuku woke to the aroma of waffles and his first thought was enjoying the sweet smell of vanilla and cinnamon, his next thought was ‘who is cooking?’ 

“Kacchan? Are you cooking?”

“I’m almost done.”

“Kacchan! You need to have me with you when you cook!”

“Just taste it Deku.”

Izuku sat by the table with a small frown as Katsuki finished plating the dish and putting it in front of him. Izuku took a bite and his eyes lit up. “Kacchan this is amazing!” 

Katuski’s tail began to wag as he tried to look like he wasn’t holding his breath waiting for his reply. Izuku ate three more big bites and all but moaned at the flavor. “Sooo good Kacchan.” 

His tale picked up the pace as Izuku destroyed the remaining waffles, moaning and groaning the whole time. It made him feel something. Something deep inside that was warm and making him a little sweaty. What was this feeling? He had never felt anything like this before, not even close. 

He heard something on the TV the other day. Izuku had fallen asleep on the couch but he kept watching TV. A group of girls was talking and they said one of the girls had a ‘crush’ on a boy. He didn’t know what a ‘crush’ was and he certainly didn’t want to hurt Deku, but it seemed like she didn’t want to hurt this boy. 

But then they said the words, ‘feelings.’ When your heart beats faster, when you want to be with them, keep them safe, maybe even kiss them you have a crush. The second he heard this it all clicked. He wanted to kiss Deku, he wanted to be with him forever. Is that why he’s sweaty and having trouble breathing?

The scent of his Deku picked up a little cutting off his train of thought. If he hadn’t checked for a tail he would have assumed he was a Beta, what the fuck is up with his scent!

“Kacchan what’s wrong?”

“Are you a hybrid?”

Izuku burst into laughter. “Am I a hybrid? Are you joking?”

“No, you smell.” 

Izuku laughed again. “Kacchan you’re so funny.” He grabbed the dishes and scratched behind his ears making Katuski forget about his question in the bliss of being pet. But his rising scent made him remember it. 

He got up and stuck his nose in his neck to get another sniff. Izuku squeaked and stood completely still. Katsuki sniffed around his neck, soaking up his gingersnap scent. It was so weird! He gave a lick looking for a scent gland and disappointed when he didn’t find any. Izuku shuttered. “Kacchan, w-wait.” 

He licked again and Izuku shuttered once more. “Kacchan,” he gasped. 

He wanted to kiss him, he wanted to kiss him so badly. So he kept grooming. He could just shrug it off as a hybrid thing. 

Because there is no way he would want a romantic relationship with him. Not a chance. 

He scented him so more ignoring his negative thoughts. Tears beaded in his eyes. Izuku grabbed his cheeks and looked in his eyes. “Kacchan what’s wrong?”

Katsuki wrapped him in a tight hug and sniffled. “Nothing, I’m fine.” 

“Oh alright, if you’re sure,” Izuku said looking at him with his soft concerned eyes. 

“I’m sure… I’m fine Deku.”

“Kacchan today is Friday!”

Katsuki’s head lurched from the couch to look at his owner. That could only mean one thing. “Park?”

“Yup! Let’s go!” 

Katsuki leaped to his feet and put his collar on all but bounding out the door. Izuku chuckled as he walked behind him Katsuki looking behind occasionally telling him to hurry the fuck up. They had to avoid the park for a while. He was too at risk for attacking another hybrid. But as time passed he began to heal and he could be taken to things like parks and meet other hybrids. He got along best with Kirishima. Which is good because he was going to be with Todoroki and his hybrids. They hadn’t had Katsuki around kids so Eri and Kota would have to stay close to Tamaki. He knew Katsuki wasn’t going to hurt him but it’s best to play it safe. 

They finally got to the park and Todoroki was already waiting. He gave a tired wave and Eri ran to Izuku’s side for a hug, Kota stood like he was too good to be at the park right now. He would rather be home playing video games than at the park with his family. 

Katsuki ran over to Kirishima with a grin. “Hey Shitty Hair!” 

Kirishima laughed, meeting him in the middle of the park, both of their tails wagging. “I missed you!”

“Yeah yeah, me too or whatever.” 

The two of them threw a baseball back and forth while Izuku talked to Todoroki. 

“You seem happier today, did something happen?” Kirishima said as he tossed the ball to him.

Katsuki thought back to the morning of waffles and scenting and grooming and didn’t think anything was out of the ordinary. Suddenly he remembered his revelation about his ‘crush’ and blushed before saying, “dunno.” He tossed the ball back.

“Hm, maybe you’re just happier!” Kirishima gave an overhand throw. 

Katsuki thought again this time imagining a future with him and Deku together kissing and holding hands. His tail wagged and threw the ball back. “Maybe.” 

“He looks happy,” Todoroki said, nudging Izuku’s shoulder. 

“He is happy.” Izuku looked at his companion and smiled. “He’s been doing great.”

“He looks great,” Todoroki said resting his hand on his shoulder. Izuku stared at his wolfdog with a bright smile. He was so healthy now, so much happier. He deserved the best he really did. 

“I see the way you’re staring at him.”

Izuku flinched and looked at Todoroki before spouting a million excuses. 

“No no no no, I’m not in love with Kacchan, I mean if that’s what you were suggesting! I’m not thirsting over my vulnerable pet, why would you say that!” 

“I didn’t say anything about love or thirsting,” Todoroki teased. 

Izuku made a noise like a tea kettle and just as warm.

Todoroki chuckled. “You know, pets have the same minds as humans, in addition to some instincts humans don’t have. But they are capable of loving and being loved by a human. You know that right?”

Izuku hid his face in his hands. “So it’s ok if I…”

Todoroki patted his back. “It is. Let yourself be happy.” 

Izuku watched Katsuki sprinting through the park with a playful smile as he was racing Kirishima. 

Let myself be happy huh?

“Yo Deku, when are we going home,” Katsuki said, a touch out of breath.

“I’m ready if you are. How about we pick up some dinner on the way home?”

Katsuki’s tail wagged as he grinned. “Can we get burgers?” 

“Yeah,” Izuku said softly. “Anything for you.” 

Katuski blushed as his tail wagged faster. “You’re so weird Deku.” 

“See you Todoroki!” Izuku called as they headed out.

Katsuki stepped out of the shower to look over and see his owner asleep on the couch. He was sprawled out with his mouth open. He looked absolutely ridiculous. Katsuki chuckled and then picked him up, holding him close as he carried him to bed. He lay him down and saw a strip of skin revealing his toned back. It made his mouth water. What was this feeling? His inner Alpha was awakening. He needed to step back before he did something he might regret like rut against his sleeping form until he came all over the bed. 

Woah. 

Where did that come from? Did he want to fuck Deku? He thought his dreams of kissing were bad but now he wants to fuck him?? This was bad. He couldn’t do anything that would make Deku want to get rid of him. He grabbed a blanket and curled up by the fire a frown on his face. He curled up in a little ball, his tail wrapped around his form.

Goodboy – SFW – Chapter 4

Midoriya heard his phone buzz. He looked over to see Chizome still asleep. Good he didn’t want to have to explain anything. 

>>>>Toshinori-sensei: I’m in town, do you want to meet up? –

He looked over at his boyfriend. Still asleep. 

<<<<When?

>>>>Toshinori-sensei: I’m at the coffee shop by the school, you did say you still live in town? 

<<<<Yes, are you still there? 

>>>>Toshinori-sensei: yes, I will wait here, take your time! 

<<<< I’ll be there in 15 minutes, thank you 

Chizome rolled over in his sleep, bumping his arm and Izuku froze staring at him until he was sure he was still asleep. He got up and grabbed his wallet, putting on his shoes as quietly as possible. Each breath was more painful than the last as he forced himself to breathe silently. 

“Where the hell do you think you’re going?” A dark intense voice rang out. 

It was like glass just shattered in his stomach. Midoriya felt his blood freeze, his throat immediately became parched, his eyes wet, his stomach was in knots, just from hearing his voice. “R-r-remember? You asked me to get groceries.” 

Chizome flipped him around, towering over him. “Hm? When?” 

He wasn’t yelling. Honestly he wished he would yell. If he yelled he would get hit faster, or burned, or slapped; the waiting was the worst part. “Y-yesterday?” 

He prayed he wouldn’t check his phone. It was a miracle he allowed him to have it. 

Chizome grabbed a cigarette and lit it, taking a drag before replying. “Maybe you’re right, then why didn’t you grab the list?” 

Midoriya’s eyes flashed to the counter. The list of cigarettes, steaks, and booze he preferred were very specific and easy to forget. 

“Oh… silly me… I’ll go grab it.” He walked to the counter and grabbed it with his shaky hands before slipping it in his pocket. He turned around to see his boyfriend inches from his face. “Oh Izuku, I thought we talked about forgetting these things.” He blew cigarette smoke in his face before putting it out on his arm, next to all the other scars. 

Midoriya teared up but bit his lip to avoid crying. 

“You’ll be better next time, I won’t you Zu?” 

He nodded rapidly, swallowing the bile rapidly rising in his throat. 

“I’m going to sleep, if you’re not back before dinner, well, you won’t do that will you?” 

“No.”

“No WHAT?” 

“No Master!” 

He pulled on his hair to pull him back for a disgusting kiss. “Hurry back.”

He walked calmly out the door and then burst into tears. What was he going to do? He can’t afford to leave! Even if he did he would find him. He pulled his sleeve down to cover the scars and the fresh burn. He wiped his tears and walked rapidly to see his teacher. 

He didn’t have a future, as soon as he’s done talking to Sensei he’s coming ‘home’ and slicing his wrists until he leaves this fucked up world. He’ll say goodbye without saying goodbye. 

He walked, his head ringing loudly, until he saw him sitting there. His skinny frame was relaxed, drinking some tea. Midoriya felt himself able to breathe again. 

“Sensei?” He asked, walking around the corner.

“Ah! Midoriya-shounen! Glad to see…”

Midoriya gave a weak smile and sat down. 

“I got your favorite, iced coffee drowning in vanilla.”

“Mm thanks.” He took a long sip.

“Have you been getting into fights again?” His voice was drenched in concern. 

“Uh, yeah something like that.” He pulled out his collar to let some heat escape. It was the middle of the summer and he was wearing a hoodie. 

“Hey kid, something’s going on that you’re not telling anyone. I got messages from your classmates that you haven’t been replying to any calls or texts. We both know that’s unlike you.” 

His lip quivered as he tried to keep his mouth shut. You can’t let him know, if he finds out you told someone you’re toast. He’ll, he’ll kill you! 

“Midoriya my boy?” He asked in an uneasy voice. 

Tears spilled uncontrollably. He gripped his chest and sputtered, “I… have a controlling boyfriend.” He sniffed and wiped his eyes. “He… hurts me and doesn’t let me leave except to get groceries. He made me quit my job and leave school… so if I left, I would have nowhere to go. He made it clear if I left he would find me. I have to leave soon, he gets really mad if he has to wait for dinner.” 

Toshinori chewed on his knuckle. “Besides the bruise on your face, do you have any other marks?”

He pulled up his sleeves shamefully. His teacher was furious at what he saw. 

Numerous cigarette burns, scratch marks, bite marks, cuts, bruises, he wanted to look away but couldn’t. 

Midoriya slid his sleeves down and looked at his phone. “I have to go, thanks for the coffee sensei.” 

“Wait. I have an idea. I have a fellow teacher who works in a gym and has been looking for someone to watch it for him.” 

“What are you saying?” 

“Text me your address and delete the message. I’m going to contact him and ask if he can house you. I’ll take pictures of your injuries and we can see if we can get a restraining order. If all goes we’ll come by tonight and you can leave and never come back. 

Midoriya embraced him before downing his coffee and texted him the address. 

“I’ve got it Midoriya-shounen. I’ll text you when things get solidified.” 

“Thank you, I have to go.”

“With the evidence we have, I can give him 5 years in prison,” the judge said in a low voice. “I’m sorry.” 

“Five years?!” Toshinori shouted. “He tortured him for that long!”

“Unfortunately, since he made no attempt at his life that’s all we can do. We can enforce a very strict restraining order once he gets out and force him to live in another city. But that and five years is all we can do.”

Izuku sobbed into his hands while Toshinori patted his back. 

“I won’t let him touch a hair on your fucking head,” Aizawa growled. “And when I’m done with you, he won’t either.

Izuku dripped with sweat, his arm aching. It had been several months since the surgery but it aches when he works out as hard as he was right now. 

“Up.” Aizawa stood above him offering a hand. 

Izuku took a second to breathe and then accepted the help. He put his hands back up and said, “ok I’m ready.” 

Aizawa sent a fist straight for his face and Izuku dodged, punching him in the stomach. Aizawa was knocked back and chuckled, “very good problem child, again.”

“You sure about this kid?” Aizawa loaded up his final bag in the back of his car, his boyfriend and girlfriend already in the car.  

“He’s fine babe,” Emi said, crawling out the window and kissing his cheek. 

“Yeah let’s go.” Hizashi cooed kissing his other cheek, both of them now hanging out the window. 

“I’m fine, Sensei, you’ve taught me what I need to know.” 

Aizawa looked proudly at his pupil. He’s grown so far from the scared young man that couldn’t even speak his mind. 

“See you on Friday kid.”

Katsuki kicked the roof of his cage, bored and missing his parents. He was stripped from his parents because of his jaw. Yup. He had a strong jaw so they forced him to become a killing machine. He was only five and they were making him fight other kids not caring how injured they got. 

He decided to refuse to see what would happen, and now he’s stuck in a tiny cage bored out of his mind. His stomach growled. It felt like his stomach was eating itself. He needed to make a decision. Either live now or die hungry. 

A human came into the room and kicked his cage. Katsuki growled. “Are you ready to eat? Or are you going to continue to be a brat?”

Katuski stared at him and said nothing. 

“Good, get out there’s some cold chicken waiting for you, then you have to work.” 

Katsuki frowned. This was going to be his life from now on… wasn’t it?

Attack. 

“He’s already down!”

Kill.

“Why?!” Katsuki screamed, kneeling in front of the defeated cat. 

I said kill him.

He sliced the cat’s throat open with his claws, getting blood soaked into the cement and coating his hand.

“Kacchan!” 

His voice was like getting a bucket of water splashed on him. He sat up bonking Izuku in the head. He collapsed on his lap whining but immediately saying, “I’m ok!” 

Katuski grabbed his face and looked into his eyes. His forehead was bright red, already showing signs of swelling. Katsuki licked the center of his forehead in apology. 

Izuku blushed and grabbed his hand moving it from his face. “Kacchan you were crying, are you ok?”

Katsuki looked around at the home he longed for for years and his Deku who’s concern was causing his brows to crinkle in the most adorable way possible. 

This stupid fucker, what were these feelings?

He had to taste him again so he licked his blooming forehead once more making Izuku giggle. “Kacchan stop.” 

Katuski pounced on him and sniffed the crook of his neck while Izuku giggled up a storm. “Kacchan that tickles, Kacchan that tickles!!” 

This felt good. This felt right. 

Katsuki hugged him tight. He rubbed his cheek along his, scenting him thoroughly. Izuku blushed madly as he lay back on the bed and got assaulted with loving scenting. When Katsuki pulled back after he had been properly scented he licked his face again. “I’m fine.” 

“Oh that’s good Kacchan,” Izuku said in a dreamy voice. 

Katuski grinned, yes, this was where he was supposed to be.
